Dr. J.D. Davis has served as our Pastor since June of 2007. He graduated with BA in religion from Belmont College in Nashville TN in 1991, with a M.Div.C.E. from Southern Seminary in 1994, and a Ph.D from Trinity Seminary in Newburgh IN and endorsed by University of Liverpool, UK, in 2006.  JD surrendered to minsitry in 1986 and served in various youth ministry related positions until 2000.  JD has pastored in Independece MO and St. Simons Island GA.  He and his wife Ashley were married on July 10, 1993. Their son, Jack, was born in June 2003 and their daughter, Ella, in  November of 2006. jd@fbcsparta.org

Jim Fox joined our church as Minister of Youth and Children in October 2008. Jim and his wife, Amy, have four children, Anna, Josiah, Caleb and Bryce. Jim and Amy knew on their honeymoon that God had called them to youth ministry. Prior to joining our church family, Jim served as Camp Pastor and Program Director at Lighthouse Christian Camp in Smithville, TN and has served churches in Memphis, TN, California and Kentucky working with all age groups, primarily high school to college age. jim@fbcsparta.org

Ken Bingemer has served as our Minister of Worship since February, 2004. He leads and directs our Adult Praise Choir and Adult Handbell Ensemble. He also oversees the Children’s Choir with Joyce Miller. Ken received the Diploma of Church Music from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Angie, have three children, Dustin, Jacob and Lindsey. ken@fbcsparta.org

Angie Wyatt has faithfully served our congregation as church secretary since 1999. She capably handles the many administrative duties of our growing church family. Angie is a mother of two children, Audrey and Lance. angie@fbcsparta.org
